Matthew A. Tate received a history degree from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas, in 2006. He then received his law degree at Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas (J.D., with honors) where he obtained certificates in Oil and Gas Law and Environmental Law. While at Washburn, Matthew was a staff writer for the Washburn Law Journal and a research assistant for Professor David Pierce.
Matthew is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas. He has experience in civil litigation, oil & gas law, contract law, and contract drafting. In his spare time, Matthew likes to spend time with his wife and children, and serve as a volunteer for the Johnson County, Kansas, Youth Court Program.
